Katherine is the CEO of SRTX, the Y Combinator backed technology company dedicated to using material science and smart manufacturing to transform apparel. SRTX is best known for Sheertex, a knit made from one of the world's strongest polymers and a technology disrupting hosiery through its impossibly strong pantyhose.
As the founding CEO, Katherine invented the company's first patented knit, and leads the executive team. SRTX has grown to over 200 people and $30M USD in annual sales in just three years, and has raised over $140M USD in capital.
Prior to Sheertex Katherine founded, led, and sold two businesses. ShopLocket, a pre-order platform for hardware, raised over $1M in venture capital and was sold to PCH International in 2014. Female Funders, an online education program for female investors, was acquired in 2017 by Highline Beta.

What I do (and do well)
Create category making technology.
Tights that don’t rip? Swimsuits that don’t get wet? Persistence is key.
Operations, fundraising strategy and PR.
When it’s how you run your team, your factories, your funding process, execution trumps everything.
Direct to consumer sales.
Millions of units sold, many, many lessons learned.

At SRTX, we are on a mission to lead and accelerate the world’s transition to circular fashion.
This spans how we design our products, what we put into our products and how we make our products. We continually find new ways to engage our customers and suppliers in this journey, and will soon begin sharing our progress towards our goals in formal annual reporting. SRTX is also committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by establishing and realizing science-based targets. These targets will give us focus in both the near- and long-term. We are currently mapping our company footprint, and establishing a pathway to reduce and offset it via our materials, our products, and our operations.
